Redcliffe's Fintech trainer has 35 years of professional experience in trading, sales and product development, he has been involved in training executives from over 400 institutions mainly in the finance industry. At the same time, he runs EPIGON Capital as head derivatives trader. He has helped tens of thousands of participants originating from more than 100 countries through his trainings and conducted workshops in more than 30 countries in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

The trainer has been appointed Executive Director at the Singaporean Fintech company Monet Pte Ltd specialising in financial technology solutions. He was the Chairman of EPIGON Marketing AG and Managing Director of EPIGON Energy GmbH until the end of 2020. As former head of VEGA Structured Finance GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany, he introduced default-free ABS, ABCP as well as NPL transactions to medium-sized corporates.

His professional experience commenced with Swiss Bank Corporation (today UBS) and Union Discount PLC with postings first in Zurich and then London. There, he was engaged in trading, selling, structuring and managing the risks of FX, Equity Exotic and Fixed Income Derivative Products as well as their underlying cash instruments. He was a debt originator servicing AAA issuers.

 In 2014, he recognised the revolutionary character of FinTech and Cryptocurrencies as parts of his business were directly affected. He researched the impact that the technological progress will bring. Whilst restructuring his own business in Switzerland, he used his charisma and experience to explain the changes that have already taken place He analyses the status quo of the business and innovates the business models to make them future-proof.

Most recently, he has been conducting tailored FinTech trainings for commercial and universals banks in EMEA, the USA, Scandinavia and Southeast Asia. He also advises regulators, FinTech banks and technology companies.

Now, he is working with banks, card companies, IT and Telco companies to innovate their business model by adding FinTech components.

The trainer is also a visiting lecturer at SKEMA Business School in Paris. His M.Sc. program improved its world-wide ranking by the Financial Times from 37th when he joined in 2013 to a consistent 3rd in 2022. There he runs the successful FinTech and Financial Markets program amongst other topics. He is also supervising students in their FinTech research and start-ups. Previously, he has been a visiting lecturer at Cass Business School at City University in London and EMLV in Paris.

He has published more than 400 articles in the Swiss media and co-authored two books and an interactive training programme on financial markets, bonds, and swaps. He is a certified NLP Master Practitioner, certified Hypnotherapist, and a Master of TimeLine Therapy™. He is a recognised HR professional and trainer by the CIPD and holds a degree in Economics from the prestigious St. Gallen Business School.

He speaks four languages fluently including English, German, Swiss German, Greek and French.

Participants will identify how technology enables banks to offer a better service, and identify new challengers disrupting the status quo.
It will focus on the risks and opportunities, but mostly, it will allow participants will identify where the next gold mine of the future lies.  We encourage critical thinking in participants and present the latest thinking and knowledge in this area.

On the second day, we will look at digitalising currencies.  Particiapnts will identify the two main challenges in this digitalisation process and learn the basics of cryptography to understand hashing and digital signatures.  The later allows for transactions to be sent via the internet without alteration despite remaining visible to the public.  We then look at solving the double-spend problem using the distributed ledger technology.  Bitcoin becomes the first use case to prove that this works.  You will learn exactly what the miners do and how Bitcoin works.  Then you will see how the technology has incrementally improved.  We end with a regulatory outlook and the status-quo on Central Bank Digital Currencies.
